Duty Calculator
Duty Calculator Explanatory Notes
i.
ICD is Customs Import Duty, and CPF is Customs Processing Fee.
ii.
FOB value (Free On Board/Freight On Board value) refers to the cost or value of your goods. You can generally use your invoice amount as FOB value. It should be given in US Dollars.
iii.
CPF is calculated at 7.5% of the FOB value.
iv.
ICD is calculated based on a Duty Rate % which is determined by a Tariff-Code, and the the FOB value.
v.
A tariff code is a product-specific code as documented in the Harmonized System (HS) maintained by the World Customs Organization (WCO).
Tariff codes exist for almost every product involved in global commerce.
vi.
If you are not certain what Tariff-Codes to use, feel free to download Customs Tariff (2010) on our Archive page, or use our Tariff Search page.
vii.
Supp. Qty (Supplementary Quantity) input is required for some specific Tariff-Codes, where ICD is calculated based on Supp. Qty instead of FOB Value
E.g. enter 95.2 if you are importing 95.2 Gallons of Wine.
iix.
Freight Value is required for vehicle imports, where ICD is calculated based on FOB Value + Freight Value instead of FOB Value alone.
ix.
Special Duties such as Fuel Tax, Aviation Fuel Royalty and Duty Free Royalty are not provided by this calculator.
